Privacy & cookies
We keep this short and plain. Below is what happens with your data when you use unicornhunters.studio, and how to change your mind.
Who we are
Unicorn Hunters is a venture studio based in the Netherlands and the controller for the data described here. You can reach us at info@unicornhunters.studio.
Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 42125949.
Postal address: Oude Marswal 5, 8015 ED Zwolle, the Netherlands (postal address only, not a visiting address).
Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which parts of the site are read and whether the contact form and email link get used. It is switched off until you press Accept in the cookie banner. If you press Decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics identifiers are stored on your device.
When you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies and collects:
- cookies
_gaand_ga_*, which hold a random identifier to recognise a returning browser; - pages viewed, scroll and click events, referrer, approximate location, browser and device type;
- two events of our own:
generate_lead(the contact form was sent) andcontact_email_click(the email link was clicked). Neither contains your name, email address or message.
We do not use Google Analytics for advertising. Ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are always disabled. Google acts as our processor for this data, which may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months.
Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Dutch Telecommunications Act). You can withdraw it at any time.
Contact form and email
If you use the contact form we receive your name, email address and message, and we use them only to reply to you. The form is delivered to our inbox through Resend, our email delivery provider, which acts as our processor. If you email us directly, we receive what you send.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep correspondence as long as needed for the conversation and for any resulting business relationship, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Security and abuse prevention
To protect the form against spam, your IP address is held in the server's memory for a short period to limit how often it can be used. It is not written to a database. The site is hosted on Vercel, which acts as our processor and processes standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) to deliver and secure the site. Vercel may transfer this data to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
What we store on your device
uh-consent(local storage): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask again on every visit. Strictly necessary for the banner to work._ga,_ga_*: Google Analytics, only after you accept.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, ask us to restrict its use, ask for a copy in a portable format, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email info@unicornhunters.studio and we will respond within one month. If you think we handle your data unlawfully you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If we change how the site handles data, we update this page and its date. Material changes will ask for your consent again.
